Do you need to be Catholic to attend St. John's?

No. St. John’s accepts all students of any religious upbringing or no religious upbringing. We pride ourselves in loving all students as Jesus taught us. We respectfully teach the ways of the Catholic church.

Are there any deadlines?

No. St. John’s Catholic School has rolling admissions – meaning we are always looking at new applications. If you are looking to have financial aid considered, please apply as soon as possible after the portal opens. We create waiting lists for full classes on a first come, first served basis with occasional special consideration for siblings of current students in good standing

Is there before/after care?

For an additional charge we offer after-school care, and/or before-school care. We start by allowing drop-off at 7:00 AM for a fee. Our after-school care is called our Learning Center where we provide students an opportunity to work on homework, provide a snack, and give the children an opportunity to run and play before pick-up time at 5:30 PM Monday-Thursday and 5:00 PM on Fridays. Learning Center fees can be added into your tuition payment plan for easy installments.

Is there a lunch program?

SJCS offers a hot lunch program through MSAD75 at this time. We also have a monthly “pizza Friday” available for purchase. Orders must be placed through the FACTS Family Portal.

How much is St. John's? Is financial aid available?

The cost of educating one student at St. John’s annually is approximately $10,500. Our devoted parishioners and the diocese help us defray costs.
 

Tuition Rates for 2024-2025:

  • $6,500 First Student in Family

  • $6,200 Second Student in Family

  • $5,700 Third and Additional Students in Family


Fees:

  • $35 Application Fee

  • $200 Enrollment Fee/ student

  • $400 Maximum/ family
     

Yes, financial aid may be available.
 

We use FACTS Financial Management as our support tool of financial aid. As Part of your application process, you create a FACTS account and if you request financial aid everything will be handled within your FACTS account.  Monthly payments are also available.  It’s easy!

Is there a bus?

An afternoon bus is available for Brunswick residents in grades K-8. The bus leaves the school at 3:00pm and goes to Harriet Beecher Stowe Elementary School (HBS). Students must transfer at HBS to their neighborhood bus.

Is there a special education program?

SJCS does not offer a special education program.
Although, as part of a Christian community, we work directly with parents and with the Brunswick Special Education Department in order to facilitate the most educational setting for a child with a documented Special Education need.
